Smart Heating Control Systems
Meet the Nest Learning Thermostat, the thermostat that programs itself and then pays for itself. There thermostat can be installed to control your heating only or your heating and hot water. It simply replaces an existing time clock and thermostat combination on any heating system and provides simple control via the thermostat itself or the Nest home app on your tablet or smart phone.
The thermostat will adjust your heating to your lifestyle by learning your movements and room occupancy. When you leave home an Auto-Away setting allows the thermostat to turn your heating down which in turn reduces the energy your boiler needs. You can remotely control your heating from the smartphone app which means you can turn the heating on just before you arrive home.
The Nest Leaf symbol will show on the thermostat when your heating is running efficiently. Independent studies show the Nest Thermostat saved an average of 10-12% on customers heating bills.
Nest Protect
The Nest Protect combined smoke and CO2 detector protects your home around the clock and alerts your smart phone as well as sounding an audible warning. The system has a built-in test feature allowing you to set the frequency of regular testing which means you no longer have to check the detector yourself. The detector incorporates a night light facility and presence sensor allowing you to see your way around at night without putting your main lighting on. Mains powered and battery only versions are available.
Nest Cam
The Nest Cam is a high definition camera with wireless connectivity to your Broadband router. The camera can be mounted on the wall bracket supplied or left freestanding. The camera simply plugs into a 13A wall socket via a USB charger supplied.
The motion detect feature can send you emails of changes caused by movement in the viewed image and clips of the motion saved to your Nest account. This service is subject to a direct monthly subscription to their Nest Aware product.
